Rather, we take the time to understand the specific challenges and opportunities faced by your teams and leaders, and we custom-design the adventure to bring forward transferrable skills and experiences that will positively transform the workplace.  As with all our adventures, no prior sailing experience is required.  Our home waters are the gorgeous Biscayne Bay of Miami, Florida; but we can go wherever water and boats are found.

Captains Courageous Team Adventure

Captains Courageous Team Adventure teaches your team to master the seas of collaboration and accomplishment as you strategize, navigate, steer and communicate your way to success.  Beyond games, theories, tools and techniques, this is a powerful team development experience designed to dramatically improve your team's business performance.  We start with your goals in mind by conducting a team diagnostic process that may include assessments, surveys or interviews.  From that information, we will custom-design your program to address your specific needs and goals, to take your team where it wants and needs to go.  A startup session on land helps clarify the team's direction and the individuals' roles and goals.  At sea, we take your team through a series of increasingly complex challenges to highlight and enhance team members' ability to work together effectively and confidently toward both organizational goals and individual commitment and satisfaction. Your team will return to land energized, inspired, and aligned with specific next steps to implement and integrate their experience at work.

Captains Courageous Leadership Adventure

Do you really need yet another leadership model, another set of quick steps to success, another quadrant to categorize yourself?  By now you probably have more tools and techniques than you can remember, let alone use.  Captains Courageous invites you to integrate and enhance what you've already learned, but at a deeper and more personal level.  As you learn to captain, navigate and crew our sailboat, you will be called to a high level of honesty, self-awareness and courage.  The liveaboard environment will magnify your intentions, your clarity, and your default patterns of thought and behavior.  A series of increasingly challenging leadership activities will ensure you experience the direct and indirect consequences of your choices, both internal and external.  Skilled and caring coaching will assist you to discern and develop new ways of making more effective choices in terms of outcomes, processes, and the involvement of others.  Your performance will be tested and proven through sailing's inherent challenges:  strategic problem-solving, decision-making and communication.  Throughout the adventure, you will learn to bring more balance, meaning and enjoyment to yourself and to those around you. You will return to land with an individualized implementation plan so that the adventure need never end.
