Effective leadership comes first and foremost from a strong internal
sense of purpose, self-awareness, integrity and commitment. Only on that
foundation can theories and skills be meaningfully integrated and applied
for effective leadership of others. In this workshop, leaders are called
to a high level of honesty and introspection to build that strong foundation.
Through highly experiential processes, leaders will learn to look to
their hearts as well as their heads for the wisdom and willingness to
recognize and do what needs to be done, and to inspire the same in others.
Done in an atmosphere of safety, fun, peacefulness and challenge, this
workshop has been described as a life-changing experience. The learning
is readily applicable both to professional and personal life, and integration
is enhanced by the workshops follow-up format.

- Leadership characteristics and styles, using the enneagram as a framework
- Individual purpose/vision/mission/goals
- Balanced life assessment & direction
- Reprogramming limiting beliefs and behaviors
- Internal and external support systems
- Communication: getting to the heart of the matter
- Working through difficult relationships
- Developing models of excellence
- Coaching & transferring leadership skills
- Adventure-based experience (e.g., ropes course or sailing)
Format
3 days in retreat with 3 half-day integration sessions.
