A two-day experiential workshop for facilitators of workshops & trainings.
Facilitate means to make easy, and that means easy for the
group and also easy for you. Its a process that happens both from
the inside>outholding the attitudes and intentions that support
creative, collaborative learning, and from the outside>inusing
processes, techniques, words and actions that will enhance the ability
of participants to integrate and implement what theyve learned.
Participants will explore and apply
- The cycle and styles of learning
- Creating and maintaining the learning environment
- How to lead discussions
- How to give instructions
- Workshop meteorology: how to read and respond to the weather
of the group
- The Art: attention to people, process and product
- The Heart: intention of shared understanding, shared responsibility
& shared success
- The Heart of the Art: intending and attending through Honoring, Openness
and Willingness
 The
workshop features hands-on facilitation practice with individual coaching
and feedback. Participants should come prepared with a 5-10-minute presentation
on a workshop topic from their own experience. The piece should include
both (a) presentation of concepts or information and (b) set-up of activities
for assimilation (discussion, exercise, etc.).
